Dealing with attributes from standards
The following rules are established for attributes that refer to a specific standard:
For each version of a standard a complete set of (relevant) attributes will becreated in REXS. This allows to unambiguously report fully a calculation according to a certain version of a standard. On export (identical) input parameters may be written to REXS attributes of all apropriate versions of a standard.
Note: geometry parameters which are generally known/ defined in the corresponding geometry standard do not require specific attributes for a load capacity standard (e.g. number of teeth, rolling element diameter)
The version of the standard is denoted in the attribute id as well as the attribute name. In case of standards with several parts the year of publication of the relevant part is used. „TS“ or „TR“ is only denoted in the name. Examples:
application_factor_iso_6336_2006: Application factor (ISO 6336:2006)
application_factor_iso_6336_2019: Application factor (ISO 6336:2019)
flash_temperature_iso_6336_2022: Flash temperature (ISO/TS 6336:2022)
A consistent/ uniform naming convention for norm parameters will be followed in REXS. This may lead to deviations in the naming of the parameters in certain standards/ version of a standard (problematic example: tooth root safety S_F in ISO 6336 and ISO 10300). However the symbol shall be exactly as defined in the respective standard. Furthermore in the description of the attribute the name in the standard will be stated (if deviating).
Equivalent national versions of ISO standards will not be supported.
